Tristan Rees Roberts

An architect and a painter from a family of artists. He studied architecture at Cambridge University and qualified in 1973. Having travelled and worked as an architect in India, he joined Powell & Moya in London. He returned to Cambridge in 1975 to work with
David Roberts and then with Whitworth & Hall. He set up Freeland Rees Roberts with Henry Freeland in 1981.

His work includes many projects with Cambridge colleges and the university. He has recently completed a major new courtyard development for Magdalene College and the renovation and extension of the Department of Architecture. Award winning projects include Trinity Hall library, Pembroke library and two new public convenience buildings for Cambridge City Council.
