Ashley Courtney

Ashley studied architecture at Oxford Polytechnic, Brighton University and Westminster University. Ashley has worked in number of practices gaining broad experience, including working for project managers and interior designers. He worked in London for a number of years, working on a variety of building types including listed building and high quality residential developments. Moving to Cambridge in 1998, he has worked on a number of Cambridge College refurbishments, residential and school work. He joined Freeland Rees Roberts in 2006, and has become more involved in the conservation field. Projects have included an Engligh Heritage grant-aided repair of the nave roof to St Mary’s Church Feltwell; refurbishment of the picture gallery at Anglesey Abbey; numerous conservation repairs, as well as sensitive alterations and extensions, to churches.
