Yanny Huang

Yanny studied at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BSc), University of Sheffield (MArch) and University of Cambridge (Professional Studies). Before working in England, she had worked on large commercial and residential projects in South China for 5 years and in Beijing for 2 years. She joined Freeland Rees Roberts in 2000, qualifying as a RIBA chartered architect in 2006 and is now one of the practice’s Senior Architects and Associates.

Since joining Freeland Rees Roberts, Yanny has worked on numerous educational, commercial and residential projects in and around Cambridge, either as key member of the team or as project architect. She has worked on various Cambridge College projects including the refurbishment of Selwyn College Old Court and Trinity Hall Front Court, new student accommodation for Cripps Court Magdalene College and Trinity Hall, and the new Porters Lodge for Queens’ College.

Currently, Yanny is working on a range of residential projects including extensions, alterations and new build. She enjoys creating sympathetically designed contemporary and sustainable architecture within their historical context.
