New College Kitchen Range back in use

Following a substantial refurbishment, the Kitchen Range at New College, Oxford is back in use after operating out of a temporary kitchen for two years. The works have sought to redress in inadequacies in the infrastructure, the communal areas and the flow of food and personnel throughout the medieval kitchen range. A new north passage with an all-glass roof and minimal junction detailing to the existing medieval Buttery wall links the new catering facilities to the refurbished Buttery, and a new hub for College social life has been formed in the north undercroft by clearing away 20th century partitions.
