Eleven new apartments on three floors of accommodation; ‘Situated a few footsteps from the 24 acres of beautiful green space afforded by Parker’s Piece, Hobbs House offers superb vistas across one of Cambridge’s most popular parks to the front aspect and to the Catholic Church to the rear. Combining exceptional detailing and a high quality specification, it features sensitively designed architectural styling to reflect the heritage of the surrounding Georgian buildings which surround the park.’ Rheebridge
The objective was to design a graceful exterior, and apartments that provide attractive and stylish interiors for occupants, incorporating building systems that support sustainability. The regency-inspired project required extensive collaboration and long-term planning. The intricate tiled artwork around the main entrance was commissioned from the East Anglian ‘archaeological’ artist Sarah Sabin. The bespoke ceramic tiles were inspired by the history of Parker’s Piece and Hobson’s conduit, which runs under the building.
